The wait for excited clubbers will soon be over. St James Power Station, the largest one-stop clubbing destination in Singapore comprising of 9 outlets spread over 60,000 sq ft, is scheduled to open its doors in the last quarter of the year…


Said Andrew Ing, Chief Operating Officer of St James Power Station, ?Our concept is about having many outlets for many people in one location, ensuring there is always something going on over here, on any night of the week. We hope this will encourage more people to go out and actually increase the market size, similar to what happened when Mohd Sultan Road took off in 1997/98.?

Developed at a cost of S$40 million and with potential staff strength of 350+, St James Power Station has been 2 years in the making. It is headed by nightlife industry veteran Dennis Foo (ex-Europa) and the former marketing manager of Zouk, Andrew Ing.

St James Power Station offers you:

Powerhouse:
A dance club at 10,000 sq ft, this is the largest outlet at St James Power Station and is poised to be the next congregation spot of youthful revelry by avid clubbers and fun loving party-goers. Set in a raw and industrial design reflective of the unique architecture of the building, Powerhouse comprises of a main room, bar and terrace, where resident DJs provide the music soundtrack from a massive collection of party beats. Gallery Bar:
A bar lounge setting at St James Power Station that reflects the fine balance between chic luxury and leisure comfort in a cosmopolitan setting, the Gallery Bar is strategically situated on the second level of the complex to offer its guests a spectacular bird?s eye view of all the other outlets at St James Power Station.

Movida:
Meaning ?party? in Cuban street slang, is a live room featuring the sounds of world music. With a capacity of 400, this intimate yet sizeable bar is defined by clean and minimalist lines that accentuate a contemporary ambience mellowed with the warmth of traditional charm in the space. Playing host to the exciting and invigorating beats of Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, South America and more, the myriad of world music charges the atmosphere with soulful rhythms and delightful vibes that make Movida a refreshingly different choice for night entertainment. www.movida.sg

Mono:
The monochromatic themed karaoke venue, aptly named Mono, consists of a bar with seating for 50 people, and 10 individually designed rooms for those who prefer crooning behind closed doors. Built in with an extensive music catalogue, a high-quality sound system and comfy plush interiors, Mono is an outlet designed to be a treat for those who enjoy belting out their own favourite tunes for a change at St James Power Station.

Bellini Room:
The resident band plays a mixture of swing, big band and easy listening music in this 250 capacity bar. Think Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Cole Porter and Burt Bacharach.
