Heat ultralounge at Royal Plaza (RP) on Scotts will get the temperature rising this holiday season with the parties it has lined up for the eves of Christmas and New Year. The new resident band, D’Light will be performing live nightly starting from 1 Nov 2008…

This new 4-piece acoustic group from Manila, Philippines, has distinguished themselves by adding their own touch of class and beauty to their music.

Brought together by the love of music, the band consists of Katherine Shelton (lead vocalist), Francis Manalo (lead guitarist), Christian Dumaplin (bassist) and Jonah Caling (percussionist). They will be performing at Heat ultralounge from 8.30pm to 12.15am on Mondays to Thursdays and 8.30pm to 1.15am on Fridays and 9.00pm to 1.15am on Saturdays and eve of public holidays.

D’Light gives their own interpretation of the traditional jazz, blues and popular tunes, bringing the likes of the latest music trend to Singapore. Their fresh and unique sound appeals to the contemporary urban crowd who enjoys chilling out in a cushy and relaxing environment, and that makes Heat ultralounge the perfect venue for D’Light’s live performances.

For this festive season, merrymakers can look forward to the Christmas Eve party on Wednesday, 24 December 2008 from 8pm to 3am. Party-goers do not have to look further for a reason to indulge. Savour succulent oysters with your favourite drink at only $1.90 per oyster.

For those who would like to welcome 2009 with a bang, toast till the crack of dawn on New Year’s at the New Year’s Eve countdown party on Wednesday, 31 December 2008 from 8pm to 3am. For $25++, guests get a drink and complimentary party favors amidst the performances by D’Light. Selected champagnes are available at $180 and below per bottle to jazz up the celebration.
