To simply mix two records can easily be accomplished by almost anyone, but to put the dance floor into a hypnotic state of movement and emotional backlash is an art form all to itself. This art form has not only been admired, but closely studied and refined by Vancouver’s premier female DJ, B.Traits.

At the age of only 23, she has captivated audiences all over the globe, touring Asia, Europe, USA and Canada. She has performed at some of most respected and exclusive events and venues and has taken the stage alongside electronic music’s finest artists. In addition to her reputation on the dance floor, B.Traits has dominated the radio waves with guest appearances on popular dance music stations such as BBC Radio 1 and Ministry of Sound. She has been featured in numerous magazines including MixMag, DJ Mag, and Knowledge Mag and has also graced the cover of ATM magazine in the July issue of 2008.

In 2007, B.Traits was recruited by the Digital SoundBoy himself, Shy FX, making her the first Digital Sound Girl on the world renown UK based record label Digital Soundboy Recordings.

In an industry that is dominated by male DJ’s/Producers, she reflects a woman deeper than the hyper-feminine stereotype, confronting conformity, tearing down boundaries and rewriting all the rules. With a love and admiration for all genres of music, B.Traits is sure to bring you an entertaining blend of neck breakin’, booty shakin’ dance music including anything from electro, to breakbeats, glitch hop, dubstep, drum & bass, reggae, dancehall, hiphop, funk and house music.
