Jazz up your after-work Thursdays with chill out sessions at Clarke Quay’s very own Wine, Dine, Good Times Music Series from March 2010 onwards! To be held Every First Thursdays of the Month from 7.30pm to 10pm at Central Square, Clarke Quay, the first of 2 music installments will kick off with a series of stellar Contemporary Jazz line-ups from March to May 2010, followed by the series of fiery Latino live music from July to September 2010!

A must catch as Clarke Quay Presents … Smooth Jazz Thursday, a night of musical bliss accompanied by scrumptious offerings, ambient alfresco dining or simply a sexy cocktail around Clarke Quay under the kaleidoscope of colorful canopies and let Clarke Quay redefines your Thursday with a new experience.

To kick off the series in March and in conjunction with Clarke Quay’s Anniversary, Clarke Quay presents, an evening of smooth Jazz with a power packed line-up. Happening on March 4th, 2010, the suave Dylan Foster, accomplished vocalist and multi instrumentalist with Jazz, Soul R&B and Pop influence who hails from Sydney, Australia will serenade your senses with his smooth sounds. Following Dylan, be charmed by the sultry powerful vocals of contemporary smooth jazz artist, Anne Weerapass, as well as funky jazz/fusion arrangement by veteran session guitarist, composer and arranger Clinton Carnegie & the Vicious. Singapore’s premier acapella jazz group, Vocaluptuous will round the evening up with their singing prowess delivered in spine-tingling fashion.

Jazzedelics, the coolest cutting edge musicians’ au revolutionaries in Singapore with an amalgamation of soul, jazz, funk and house music will entertain with their unique singular sounds of soul, funk and jazz in-between sets throughout the series.

Another exciting line-up of must-see live performances will be on April 1st, 2010. The soulful Richard Jackson who is always being compared to legendary crooners Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Barry White and Ronald Isley is bound to leave lasting impressions with the audience. Alemay Fernandez, home-grown talent with two successful solo concerts and an album under her belt will definitely score high with her sizzling performance.

In the month of May, fans of contemporary pop jazz can look forward to more variety as we bring you the best of regional Jazz. Catch Ruth Ling, the all-round talented singer, songwriter, pianist, composer, arranger, producer who has toured with overseas artist such as Stephanie Sun, Sally Yeh (HK), Eric Moo (M’sia), Saraa (Mongolia), as she performs with her heartfelt music that will touch her audiences. Another exciting line-up not to be missed is Thailand’s popular acoustic Jazz/ Latin quartet Mellow Motif featuring Natasha P famous for their bossa nova version of Fool’s Garden ‘Lemon Tree’. Listen to Natasha P as she bellows with her signature crystal clear voice with a wide range of repertoire ranging from Swing, Brazillian Latin and Theatre. Mellow Motif has also performed in many events and concerts such as Hua-Hin International Jazz Festival.
