Senor Santos Opens At Clarke Quay

Senor Santos, a brand new Brazilian Churrascaria and Bar, opened at Clarke Quay in mid June 2010. In Brazil, churrasco is the term for a barbecue which originated in southern Brazil and was developed by the early cowboys who used traditional marinades and blends that have been passed down through the generations. Brazilian churrasco contains a variety of meats which may be cooked on a purpose-built grill, often with supports for spits or skewers.

At Senor Santos, the grill is housed in a glass room in the middle of the restaurant and patrons can watch how the meats are grilled on the skewers. The skewered meats are roasted slowly on the rack and is cooked just right to deliver fresh tasting, juicy and delicious meats to their patrons.

Concept

Senor Santos Opens At Clarke Quay (Singapore)Senor Santos offers a uniquely Brazilian dining experience where their highly skilled passadors (professional meat carvers) move around the restaurant, carve and serve a variety of grilled meats and specialty cuts, sizzling hot onto your plate, at each table. There is no need to order from a menu. It is a buffet meal or eat all you can concept using your green or red coaster cards which you can find at each table to indicate if you desire more meat or are taking a rest – green meaning “More meat please” while red means “I’m stopping for now.”

Known as “Rodizio Style” in Brazil, patrons simply sit back and eat to their heart’s content. The meal also comes with a spread of salads, beans and pasta at the salad bar. Adults pay $39.80 while children up to 12 years old pay only $18. The salad bar buffet is avialable for $25. The Latin live band plays every Fridays and Saturdays from 9 pm onwards.

Senor Santos sets itself apart from other churrascaria, with its chic, stylish décor and its warm and intimate ambience. The new restaurant is 3000 square feet and seats 118 indoors and has an alfresco area which seats 12.
