After losing everything as a business woman, Mel.dnirmala embraced her passion and penned The Strip Show – a book based on her true story of how at 35, she decided to stop playing the role of a shipping manager and become an author, because she believed that it’s never too late to make dreams come true. Her courage has inspired local artists including celebrity stand-up comedian Kumar, internationally renowned percussion group Wicked Aura Batucuda and rapper/singer/songwriter/producer Mark Bonafide to lend their talents in supporting The Strip Show by putting together an exciting show at the official book launch party on 31st July 2010 at The Boiler Room. The party will also feature performances by Belly Dance Discovery, Thambi Ka Seow, a B Gorgeous Fashion Show, segments by the local tertiary arts community and many more. Tickets priced at $15 are available at www.tdc.sg. Doors open at 4pm. St James members get in for free.
