DJ Mykal has been in the music scene for more than 10 years and while on one hand, he goes by his real name Lin Che-Yi – a music writer in papers like “China Times” and magazines such as MCB, SMART MAX, etc, on the other hand, he is known by many as DJ Mykal, resident DJ and Music Director at club ‘Partroom’.

He has been invited three times consecutively to judge for Golden Melody Awards, Taiwan Annual Music Awards, and world famous DMC DJ competition in TW, and as a guest DJ in many famous clubs in Taiwan such as @LIVE, 2F, LUXY, MOS TAIPEI and abroad at Zouk (M’sia), CIXI (HK), Fantastic Plastic Machine’s Grand Tourism 7th Anniversary Party @ Yellow in Tokyo, Trump Room in Shibuya with VERBAL (m-flo/Teriyaki Boyz), and more. His style is a combination of Classic Rock, Alternative Rock, Hip-Hop, to Breakbeat, House, Drum’n’Bass, etc. all remixed into a fresh set full of surprises and fun. He has shared the same stage with world famous DJs , such as Paul Okenfold, DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, Bad Company, Adam F, Adam Freeland, James Lavelle(UNKLE), Andy C, DJ Hype, BT, Aphrodite, DJ Cam, DJ Marky & XRS and more.

In 2004, DJ Mykal and Taiwan’s famous singer-songwriter, Chang Chen-Yue were both invited by famous live house “House Of Blues” for a US tour in over 10 cities. He also did the one and only warm-up act for The Prodigy Taipei Live Concert. DJ Mykal has performed on fashion shows for Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Adidas Originals, Puma, and more.
