The Race Weekender With Chingy ‘Live’ at Butter Factory
Chingy debut single in 2003, “Right Thurr”, shot him into international prominence with its catchy and dancefloor-friendly beats. Jackpot, his debut album, followed in 2003 which had guest appearances by Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, and Jermaine Dupri. Jackpot went Double Platinum, and Chingy sealed his superstar status when “Right Thurr” was included on the soundtrack of the video game NBA Live 2004.
Chingy’s second album, Powerballin’, was released in 2004 which featured the hit “Balla Baby”. The album featured guest appearances from artists like R. Kelly, Lil Wayne, Janet Jackson and Nate Dogg. Powerballin’ sold over one million copies and received a Platinum certification.
Having released four albums to date, Chingy’s fifth album Success & Failure is set to hit the stores this year, promising more catchy club-friendly hits from the talented lyricist.
