It’s fair to say that superstar DJ Pete Tong’s history is intertwined with the history of Acid House and electronic music itself, with a career that mirrors the story of dance music over the last 25 years. A true renaissance man, Pete has never been about one thing and 2011 represented a significant milestone, with his show on Radio 1 holding a special 12 hour takeover on the station to celebrate his 20 years on their airwaves, as well as his glorious return to Pacha, Ibiza, last summer with his residency, “Pure Pacha presents All Gone Pete Tong”. At the heart of all of this, is Pete’s ability to push and nurture new talent – from Guti and Benoit to Maya Jane Coles and Deniz Kurtzel – there are few electronic artists who haven’t had the “Pete Tong Push”, and that’s a good measure of how wonderful this legend is. There’s never been a better time to start your year all Pete Tong!

In just three years, the Italian-Belgian producer has established himself as party-starting DJ, remixer du jour – with his spacious cosmic-disco re-rerubs of Grace Jones, Friendly Fires and Sebastien Tellier and via his own piano skills, sprinkled melancholic beauties like “Caramellas”, and pushed boundaries withing the nu-disco and balearica scene. Accompanying him on the decks will be Velvet Underground’s very own deck stalwart, Jeremy Boon.

Grammy-award nominated Andy Moor is a groundbreaking DJ and producer in the electronic dance music scene. In his illustrious career, Andy has established a distinct, edgy and creative sound that is all his own and this, combined with his technical perfection led him to be highly ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100 for the past six years. In 2009 he was nominated for the DJ Awards, in 2006 he won “Best Dance Record” at the International Dance Music Awards, and in 2004 he won “Best Trance Producer” and “Best Trance Track”. He is also the owner of the highly respected AVA Recordings record label, producer of the ‘Moor Music podcast’ and an accomplished producer and remixer.

Although the humble, softly spoken duo would never shout it out themselves, Super8 & Tab are undoubtedly among them.
