Singapore's favourite rocker Douglas O is back to electrify the local nightlife live band scene. After a few years of sabbatical leave, the high-octane performer returns to the stage at Le Baroque, a lush new six-month-old clubbing nightspot at CHIJMES...
At the same time, he and his four-piece band Satellite will breathe new life into the clubbing scene at CHIJMES with their unique brand of live music.

"Our forte is rock, but we'll aim to please," said the former frontman of Energy, who is also reunited with the drummer and keyboardist of the band in this new gig at Le Baroque.

He added: "We all have grown up. It's no longer just rock 'n' roll, we learn to take care of each other. We can play Creed or Beatles. We just play good music."

To bring out the best sound of the band, Le Baroque has embarked on a comprehensive renovation of the stage and sound system to the tune of $300,000.

This will further complement the exquisite decor of Le Baroque, which is unique in its use of lush and decadent details, such as wrought-iron chandeliers, giant framed mirrors and Roman arches.

"We think that Le Baroque and Douglas O are a perfect fit for each other because Douglas has always been an icon of the best in live music here in Singapore nightlife scene and, with his 35 years of singing on stage, Douglas is a proven heavy weight in the local music industry." says owners of Le Baroque.

Douglas O and Satellite will ignite the Le Baroque beginning from July 21 (Friday) at 10.30pm from Mondays to Saturdays.

"I'm excited, scared, anxious, but mostly excited," said the exuberant performer. "I'm dying to go on Le Baroque's stage to work out the crowd."
