When it comes to nightlife and dining, Lifebrandz wants you to think out of the box. With a fresh, exciting new concept in mind, The Clinic takes us on a new high. It is a club, bar, restaurant—all rolled into one intoxicating package of an entertainment clubbing hub...

Lifebrandz Executive Director, Clement Lee, says its vision was inspired by English artist Damien Hirst. Witty, controversial images and a rebellious sensibility are what makes The Clinic different.

Set in an expansive 15,000 sq ft of space within The Cannery itself, The Clinic is a labyrinth of pill-shaped rooms, all linked to one another. The place is split into two floors. From the entrance on the ground floor, you’ll journey through al fresco bars, lounge rooms, dance club and merchandise shop—all done up in medic-chic. Hospital whites, colourful pills, syringes, drips, test-tubes and paraphernalia in all manner of the clinical, are a tribute to the tongue-in-cheek pop art of Damien Hirst. In fact, 15 of Hirst's original artwork are displayed throughout The Clinic. And a stunning LED wall enhances the stark, edgy vibe.

The mood is at once controversial and conspiratorial. If you’re in on the joke, the ironic pharma-kitsch decor will appeal to you. The diverse space allows a crowd with varied tastes to enjoy their own brands of entertainment. This includes the occasional strong infusion of a live musical element with a saxophonist, percussionist and vocalist.

Aurum by The Clinic
In the inner sanctum of The Clinic is a brand new fine dining mecca for the foodies. An intimate restaurant that seats 60, Aurum will be one of the first institutions in Asia to alter your perception of food. So allow us to take you on an epicurean journey that will jolt your senses.

Aurum's design is clean and stark. No tables. Just chairs. Gold "wheelchairs" at that. Dinner will be a ceremony that is rolled out on steel tables, complete with house-designed tableware. Here, the medic-chic theme pervades.

But the most striking element in Aurum is its out-of-this-world menu. Jointly created by Edward Voon (Captain of the Singapore Culinary National Team), Executive chef of The Cannery, and Paco Roncero (best known as godfather of molecular gastronomy, Ferran Adria's disciple) who will be the technical consultant, Aurum will serve a menu that seeks to break present boundaries and conventions of cuisine. A daily degustation menu of 13 courses will combine the familiar with the new, as if the art of cuisine is having a field day at the chemistry lab. Some call it "molecular gastronomy". We like to think of it as transcendent cuisine.

For many indeed, The Clinic will be the new transcendent experience in nightlife. Its devil-may-care, everything-goes credo will get you hooked. Convention is out. Hijinks are in. The Clinic will get you to think out of the box and live out of the box. Forget pills. The Clinic will be your ultimate clubbing party drug.
