we went there on wednesday.... we reached the place at nearly 10plus..... the guys each had to pay $23 for entry fee both for the zouk and phuture entrance-- while im free--- coz its ladies nite!! ... the place was ok.. most of the songs that they played were retro songs.... it was kinda of cool.... slowly as the people warmed up, then the dance floor get very crowded....

it was mambo night there and r&b at phuture. both were totally awesome! including the fact that it was free entry for ladies. the dance floor was so so crowded. we all stayed in zouk because phuture was sardine house, after going over for awhile we couldn't take it. so we mambo-ed the night away~ altho i do think r&b is much nicer.

Zouk's Mambo Night wasn't as good as it used to be! Maybe 'cos I was in a grump mood, or maybe simply, the DJ wasn't very good yesterday and played terrible songs. Hopped over to the ultimately packed Phuture.

I was looking forward to my virgin trip to MOS but alas my colleagues decided to change the venue to Zouk instead. Big mistake IMHO. The place was considered relatively quiet by Sat standard. The crowd only started coming in after 12 midnight in Zouk. But the dancefloor was empty throughout the night at Phuture.

what the hell was going on with the music last night? it was mambo night but the dj started playing a bunch of songs that no one was really familiar with and it kinda killed the mood. phuture was obviously way to crowded to do anything other than stand there..nothing new there i guess. personally i think zouk is just a tad over-rated...

Still the biggest ever Club in Singapore. Too bad now-a-days, not many ppl listen to House an Trance music as the radio stations on plays hip hops, teen pops, and retro....only some are played in 91.3FM...but mostly are techno. It's good that zouk has this DJ competition yearly so as to promote more on DJing.

maybe a nice club for house-music but only for house. zouk is fit to handle a candle to the european clubs. but for me the club is too big and the atmosphere (mood) is actually not that good. i like the music in the phuture more, but it's too crowded to dance appropriately. sorry, i will never go to zouk again. those who like the zouk, have fun.

i think zouk's fine, not really deserving of the wild nite image as it so extols. mambo nites nvr fail to piss any ppl in their right frame of mind off. with it's jammed dancefloors and almost impossible tor each bars.. how to enjoy????!!

After 13 years, Zouk still remains as the definitive dance club in Singapore and ranked as one of the best clubs in the world. It is the only club in Singapore that is famous internationally. Now that they have opened Zouk in K.L., the Zouk name will become even better known. You can hardly name a single international big name DJ who has not played in Zouk at least once. When I go clubbing abroard and talk to fellow clubbbers, many people have heard of Zouk even though they have no idea where Sinagpore is. Zouk has become Sinagpore's best ambassdor in the international club scene. Bravo!

Zouk - known to be the most happening club in Singapore plays fairly good music only. I prefer the R and B Music at PHUTURE but unfortunately, Phuture is super cramp with limited space and everyone is restricted in dancing small movements. Perhaps they should do something about it. Aniway, some house music they play are way too noisy and annoying with loud continous screaming. Can be pretty boring and disturbing. The onli reasons i go there is for the exclusive events and mainly becoz of the crowd. The management should also do something abt CROWD control as the place is always too crowded with hardly space to walk and breathe.

After 12 years, Zouk is still holding its position as the best club in Singapore and Asia. The only Singapore club that is known worldwide. Impeccable music and service and originality. All other clubs just try to follow but can never catch up.

Yeh Zouk is still the best club 2 party . Liquid Room is getting stale 4 me coz the residents DJs always spin the same old shit getting bored of it plus the club capacity is too small. Most of the crowd there are there 2 be seen & not 4 the music........

Zouk is fantastic but their mambo nites are now infested with all the kids dancing the same move with everyone else, any originalty ? Its really a "Monkey-See-Monkey-Do" Nite instead of calling it Mambo Nite.

Surely the BEST club or should I say the REAL clubbing place in Singapore. Fabulous music genres like house, trance, tribal, techno, electro, hip-hop and breakbeats (for Phuture) show that the club is moving in phase with the latest trend. (Wonder why there are so many people still stuck to retro music for partying when the era has passed ages ago, they should really move on!) Featuring, besides their resident DJs, are also fantastic guest DJs from the famous clubs and labels overseas, eg Ministry Of Sound, CREAM, Global Underground etc. Agree or not, the main attraction of this place is NOT the drinks nor the babes but the music, the atmosphere and definately the crowd. Its a clubbing place where nobody is to old to club! Very much unlike other clubs here, where partying is more like drinking and picking up gals or guys, Zouk is a place for people to display their indiviuality just like its music. Zouk goers will definately agree to this ... "There no clubs in Singapore that can be compared to Zouk!" Its awards and international fame has proven this. Tronic Element

all i can say is that mambo rocked the house 11yrs ago. its onli but memories nowadays of the fun pepole down t zouk on weds. i guess the onli reason why any of us would step in there is to see how much retro these kids actually know and laugh the nite away by just observing them. =P

If you weren't there for Danny Tenaglia you've just let by the best set in zouk's history ever; mind bendin' ...no kids.

Perhaps Zouk should be more selective of the crowds. The music still sounds great, however my group of clubbin frens who had been faithful club goers of Zouk for years have seriously considering patronise other up coming clubs. No hard feelings, but some of the crowd r totally big turn-offs! Totally! Big-time! . Eh... cant get in any of spots at M.S anymore?

hmmm... Zouk is definitely the best club in singapore.. why? just look at the years that Zouk has stood by for all clubbers in S'pore & for those who visits S'pore! its already been 11 years which is the longest-standing club in S'pore... there has been numerous clubs that climbed up high & came down fast... sheesh... all cannot make it coz' the crowd still returns back to Zouk! i have been clubbing in Zouk for the past 3 1/2 years & will still continue... ZoukClub serves to all crowd... from the young ones at Zouk & Phuture to the matured ones at Wine bar & Velvet! what more do you want? for those who questioned why Zouk closes at 3am? i guess you have to ask the respective authority coz' you have to pay a huge sum of $$$$ for the license! anyways ZoukClub lives!

Out of the 6 nominees, Zouk is the only Asian club nominated. It certainly deserves it...best club in Asia for sure and one of the top 3 in the world.

Zouk's ultimately one cool club you can go to on weekends with their cool guest dj performances but on Wednesdays, AVOID it!!! went down last Wed and it's real disappointing to see many 'kids' act cute, cool and funky...please, time for them to get a life and stop boogie-ing to retro... those on the podium especially, always act as if they danced real well when actually, they look more suitable playing in front of those para-para machines u find in the arcades with their "chase away the flies" and "zip up your pants" hand movements.. PATHETIC is thee word for them.. l agree with you guys who mention that Zouk is the first club they can ever enter when they have reached the acceptable age (think those 2nd yr JC students).. and to think they wanna act cool by speaking with a slang as well.. adviceto real clubbers: save the money and head to UK, Sydney... the clubbing scene in London, Manchester or Sydney is definetly better.. one thing you can know is that they don't close at 3am but only when th sun comes out...cool!!!!

Personally, my friend and I prefer Phuture or even Velvet. Guess it's cos we're no longer teenyboppers. Anyway, we went to Mambo for the 1st time some time back (yup, we're out of it)! It was so bad it was laughable. All the young things were (to be brutal) pathetic. They just do all the same hand motions (a result of the dance2x revolution?) and only to the songs they can mime to. Where's the individuality. Anyway, we ended up hanging out at Phuture even though it was empty. At least the music was better and we didn't cringe at the crowd's antics.
