This is in response to Thomas' posting. With a comment like that, I assume you are new to Singapore. I hate to break this to you, but try and get used to really bad service like what you experienced there. I wouldn't hold it against Hacienda because their service is average by Singapore standards, which means it sucks major ass! Having said that, I like Hacienda. Especially the Sunday BBQ they do. Nice place to chill on a Sunday afternoon. I just wish they had better service :-)

Absolutely awful. Went on a Friday night. Joined a table of friends. Had to get my own chair. Ignored for the first 20 minutes, empty glasses on the table. Had to wave frantically to get a waiter, then have him take another 20 min to fill the order. On the next round, slightly better, 15 min. They did NOT bring free mini-burgers with happy hour drinks as advertised, did not have any of the food on the menu at all except fries ($8.00) and Mc Nuggets ($10.00). I will NEVER go back. Worst service I've ever encountered.

The Hacienda, an alfresco bar nestled in Dempsey Road. It used to be a warehouse but after some intense renovation, Voila! it has tranformed to this absolutely gorgeous place. It was plain and simple, not too swanky and i love it...

Was at The Hacienda at Dempsey Road too. Dempsey Road is my new playground now. Used to like Rochester Park and Gillman Village but now, Dempsey is the rage! i love the tranquility.
