WEDNESDAYS MAY 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th
LUV TRAIN @ 54 (NEW!!!)
Rock ‘n’ Roll / Disco / Funk / Soul

Elvis is not dead.  Neither is Buddy Holly.  This night resurrects the golden age of rock ‘n’ roll, leading up to the seductive era of disco, funk and soul.

Expect a thematic night covering the spectrum of popular movies such as Saturday Night Fever and psychedelic colour-coded nights following the likes of Austin Power in Goldmember.

Prepare to dance to the irregular rhythm of the backbeat and revive the jitterbug dancing of the big-band era.  Or just simply “Do the Hustle” and shake it like John Travolta.  Even better, start a new dance craze as you get re-acquainted with the haunting classics of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

Ladies, don your sheer, flowing Halston dresses or micro minis.  Gentlemen, do not leave home without your shiny polyester Qiana shirts with pointy collars (preferably open at the chest).

The disco fever is on.

THURSDAY MAY 29th
VESTAX presents
CHOICE CUTZ ACADEMY [CCA] (NEW!!!)

R&B / Hip Hop

From 29th May, every Thursday, Vestax will unveil a brand new night - CHOICE CUTZ ACADEMY (CCA), happening at the Main Arena.  This night promises to deliver only the most premium selection of tunes, ie. the top of the crop, crème de la crème, best of the best (you get the drift) to hip hop purists and elitists.

Join Vestax-sponsored DJs -  Tang (UK DMC Championships First Runner-Up), Rattle (two-time Singapore DMC Champion) and KoFlow (2003 DMC Singapore Champion) in a series of nights like never before.

Be prepared for a earful as the Choice Cutz Academy presents old skool R&B blending seamlessly with modern hip hop, infused with vocal percussionists, live PA sets and the occasional  traditional musical instrument add-ons, to satisfy your insatiable musical appetite.  Exploding visuals will accompany this dynamic showcase, together with the must-have hearty doses of scratches and samples thrown in for good measure.  Be hit full-blown with the hip hop culture as the music, arts, fashion and design come full circle, bringing together the true spirit of hip hop.

A night of  pure showmanship and immense talent, bound to blow your minds (and speakers away.)

THURSDAY MAY 1st (Labour Day)
DJAY BUDDAH & THAITANIUM (THAILAND)
Hip Hop / R&B

DJay Buddah has been working the tables since 1995, with a true passion & raw talent for music.  His love for the vinyls started when he caught a live showcase by DJ Kid Capri at the "No Way Out” Tour with Puff Daddy & the Family in 1997.  What started as a hobby, quickly grew into a career.  To date, he has played at major NYC venues which include the Legendary Tunnel, Limelight/AvaLon, Exit, Studio 54, Cheetah and Speed.

Together with Thaitanium, they have won numerous awards such as Best New Group of the Year, Best New Single of the Year, Artist/Group of the Year (Thailand), just to name a few. The group was featured in "Dangerous", a track by Thai pop singer, Tata Young, in 2005.  But 2006 marked the onslaught of Thaitanium’s domination in the hip hop industry as they brought their brand of Thai hip hop to the MTV Asia Awards and were the opening acts for 50 Cent, Jay Z and Rihanna on their individual world tours.

To date, the collective has released five albums: AA, Thairider, OST. Province 77,  R.A.S. (Resisting Against Da System), and their latest, Thailand’s Most Wanted. The first two albums AA and Thai Rider were both underground releases establishing a fanbase for hip hop in Thailand. Their 3rd project was a soundtrack for the movie Province 77 and a stepping stone to bringing hip hop to the mainstream.
