BUREAU

Hailed from Manila, Philippines, BUREAU performs ‘LIVE’ daily at The Patio with a wide repertoire of Pop, Rock, Contemporary and Indie. Undisputedly one of the best bands around, BUREAU is made up of 5 talented musicians, JOSEPH R. ESPARRAGO, ALEJANDRO C. INDICK, JOSEPHUS C. CAMOTA, EMMARLOWE and PERLA M. CATADA, who had performed internationally in Tokyo (Japan), South Korea and Germany.

RETROLICIOUS Every Wednesday

Offering all those 80’s stuff that guarantee a fab night out, from pumping Depeche Mode to grooving Bananarama, RETROLICIOUS is the newest party on Wednesday. The marina’s swankiest nightclub, DXO, lashes out the finest Retro beats against a setting of old-world chandeliers, seductive pockets laid out with black and red sofas and a mean-sized dance floor decked out by shiny disco balls above.

Located beside the capital’s arts centre, The Esplanade, this club blends in with its designer surroundings and is also where the recent National Day Parade ’07 was held.

The club's original fan base of youths and yuppies has been shaken as attractively as its signature Towers and luscious Vodka cocktails. Bottles Night rule on Wednesday and you can find selected premium bottles going at a cool price tag of $130, while housepour bottles are available at $100. Notwithstanding, ladies can sashay into the club for free and recharge themselves with a free flow of vodka mixes. No strings attached.

ALTERNATION Every Thursday

Starting on National Day, 9th August, DXO [4] will host Singapore’s only dedicated alternative music night, ALTERNATION, featuring the best of Goth/metal/punk/emo with more mainstream musical elements to wean the uninitiated into the dark side. Hosted by the irrepressible DJ MENTOR (X’ho) and Saito Nagasaki shelling out vicious waves of EBM (Goth-trance)/industrial/Darkwave and more, expect to see some serious eye openers from real underground local bands paired with their more radio friendly counterparts every Thursday.
Don’t dance to the same beat every week… Its time for something REALLY different Coming in September: Fishtank, Allura, Bhelliom, Now Open… and a very big surprise on the 20th (Alec Empire).

DXO [5] presents Mesmerised every Friday, a weekend night dedicated for all ladies who enjoy the fine things in life. Throughout the centuries, the Goddess has acquired a thousand names and a thousand faces but most always she has represented love and beauty, she is associated with the sun and the moon, the earth and the sky.

Let your hair down at Mesmerised, the premier Ladies’ Night in town, every Friday. Goddesses and ladies alike can waltz in free and be showered with a divine flow of housepours on the house all night.

Cast the tedium and dullness of the week aside and party to your favourite sounds of rnb, hip hop, house, retro and commercial pop until 4.00am.

DXO [6] presents 6 every Saturday. The favourite night among modern youths, 6 has partnered with tertiary institutions like NUS, SMU, NTU, ITEs, Polytechnics and Junior Colleges, to bling the best RNB and Hip Hop party to the heart of CBD district.
