FRIDAY APRIL 4TH
HARD SEQUENCE presents
EFFEN vs. BOMB SQUAD
BASS AGENTS vs. DARK RAVERS Hard Dance/ Hardstyle
Hard Sequence was first established in 2001 and is the first home grown dance brand in Malaysia to capitalize on the cultural progression of the ever evolving dance scene. Their mission is to ensure that the culture will continue to grow together in parallel dimensions.
The demand and trend of today’s music industry has changed tremendously. The evolution of related technologies (from analog to digital) has laid the framework for the resident jocks on Hard Sequence’s roster [Bass Agents & Dark Ravers (BA & DR)] to take full advantage of the transition and expand the unlimited possibilities in producing and providing quality music.
Over the last 3 years, the collaboration between BA & DR have landed them a reputation of being a steady and dependable outfit, positioning them as one of the specialists in music technology & sound designers in Asia today.
To date, Hard Sequence has been nominated and awarded with various awards, such as Best New Local Night by JUICE (KL) in 2006 and Most up for it Crowd also by JUICE (KL).
DJ Niekon (BOMB SQUAD):
Ever since dance music hit the local scene here in Malaysia, Dj Niekon has and already been dreaming of , one day, making it as a disc jockey. Niekon likes to describe his musical style as euphoric, uplifting, melodic, energetic and with a slight touch of electic controversial tweaks.
Effen stormed into the club scene in 2005, with his first club appearance at Zouk's bi-yearly event Localized!. Since then, he has graced the decks of other top clubs in Singapore such as Onyx, DXO and Liquid Room. He is notorious for tearing dancefloors apart with his main sets, weaving seamlessly the sounds of melodic trance,tech-trance and percussive techno, all into one cutting edge, mind-bending, sonic performance.
Darkraverz represents a syndicate of Underground Hard Dance DJs that have conquered most of the early underground clubs in KL. Even before hard dance was accepted and gradually became prominent in the international music scene, Darkraverz were already prepped and ready to infect the commercialized cult in which was the music world. Darkraverz has toured around Asia such as Hong Kong and Taiwan, they are now well known as the Lords of the Underground in the hard dance industry.
Bass Agents were formed in 2000 and consist of three key players; Xt-Acid and Didjital from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Ganjaguru from Melbourne, (Australia). After 3 long years apart, the dynamic trio will join forces creating the hardest yet uplifting sound. Their name stems from 1 main element, the hardness of a driving bass line.
In recent years, the Bass Agents have been featured in majority of the Malaysian major events such as Recharge Revelation , EMIS, UV-Nation The Renault Pit Party and The Hotlink Germany Kick-Off Party. Collectively, they have played alongside a number of Hard Dance legends such as The Prophet, Lady Dana, Gizmo, Organ Donors, Alex Kidd, Steve Hill, Phil York, Dave Joy, Technikal, Dark By Design, Andy whitby, Paul Brisk, Scot Project, DJ Wag, BK, Kai Tracid, Thrillseekers, K90, Soul-T, Derb, Walt and Johan Gielen just to name a few. The Agents took up the challenge of introducing the sound to their home country Malaysia. And only through years of sheer dedication, passion and love towards the music, they were able to MAKE IT HAPPEN. To date, the Bass Agents have been voted as Best New Local DJ by JUICE Readers Choice Awards (KL).

same.BUT.different
feat. HAS + XHIN
Jazzy Grooves / Soulful House/ Electronica
HAS presents this eclectic new night @ PURE, doing what he does best - pushing forward the frontiers of music with guest DJ this installment, Xhin.
Our very own soul provider brings you an alternative midweek party for the open-minded – same.BUT.different. From sexy, classic jazzy grooves to deep, soulful remixes of the present day, the night boasts a cherry-picked tracklist.
Let’s just say this is strictly essential, music for the soul.
From the fashion houses of Prada & Dior to the tropical islands of Bali & Puerto Rico, he has put Singapore on the map with his genre bending sets. HAS is the first Singaporean ever to be featured on the very credible Redbull Music Radio and on London's Straight No Chaser Magazine. He is indisputably at the forefront of the international music scene.
Apart from winning NIKE’s first StreetStyle award, HAS also bagged the trophy for JUICE Magazine's Best Local DJ.
Born in 1976, Xhin ( Pronounced as "Sheen") has been exploding techno and electronic grooves since 1997. He has released singles and remixes for German Independent record label, Meerestief. With a remix for Five Green Circle's Ronan BBQ, it has been a mammoth of a step for his profile over Europe. FRIDAY APRIL 11TH
PIONEER PRO DJ SERIES with
DAN TAIT (UK)
SPECIAL AUDIO VISUAL SET
House / Electronica
Dan Tait has literally spent half his life behind decks - at the age of 27, he has been rocking parties for over fifteen years. It was this ability to turn a track inside out, using whatever tools were at his finger-tips, that first caught the attention of the Pioneer product development team.
Having first seen him in 2002 hammering the effects unit on a Pioneer mixer and using messed up loops on the CDJ-1000 being used to sculpt an epic workout constructed from three copies of the same track, they asked him to join their testing team and contribute advice and criticism on prototype Pioneer products.
This work with Pioneer has now led him to showcasing their innovative new DJing DVD player; the DVJ-X1 alongside Sander Kleinenberg and James Zabiela. This player allows Dan to play visuals that he has edited at home from footage that he has shot and animations he has created. These visuals are spliced with tracks that he normally dj’s with. He showcased this unique product at the closing party at Space in Ibiza and the first Global House Music Awards in London and is now taking the show to Clubs in Russia, Brussels, Ireland and back to Ibiza again.
But it is not simply technical skills that have marked Dan out as Leeds' favourite after party DJ, (DJ Sneak, Louie Vega and Erick Morillo have all had their Leeds carry-on sessions sound-tracked by the man himself); Summer 2003 saw Dan take Ibiza as dj for G-Club (Defected) and 2004 saw him play the first full 90minute DVJ set at the closing party of Space. Further performances with G-Club have seen Dan play at Defected in the House in Leeds and the new Ministry of Sound in Taiwan where G-Club now have a bi-monthly residency.
His dedication to good House music, whatever it's sub-genre, his ability to read a crowd and then tease them into submission, and the pure optimism of his 'let's get this party started' attitude have all been central to the attention and respect he has attracted from the diverse range of clubs, DJs, producers and promoters that he has worked with.

SATURDAY APRIL 12TH
FILO & PERI (US)
Trance / Electronica / Progressive
It’s been nearly three years since New York natives Domenick Filopei and Bo Pericic got together in the studio after a mutual friend introduced the two. Since then, their chemistry has been undeniable.
Domenick and Bo have not stopped producing what many consider the best dance music to ever come from the United States. Their breakthrough 2004 year started when number three dj in the world Armin Van Buuren signed "Elevation" to his State of Trance record label. Almost 3 years later, Filo & Peri's production and DJ style have evolved into a unique, killer hybrid of house, electro, trance and techno.
With so many generic releases flooding the market, Filo & Peri have departed from the norm and continue to make unique, widely appealing tracks with the primary mission of rocking dance floors. 2006 has already proven to be a great year for the production heavyweights. Not many dance producers can sign records with the biggest house and trance labels in the world. Guess what they just did? Look out for two monster records this year on Paul Van Dyk's Vandit and Eric Morillo's Subliminal Records. Check out "Ordinary Moment" on Vandit and listen to the duo's remix of the legendary Doobie Brothers - Long Train Runnin' classic out on Subliminal! Filo & Peri productions have also been featured on compilations of the top 3 DJs in the world: Paul Van Dyk: The Politics of Dancing 2, Tiesto in Concert 2, and Armin Van Buuren: ASOT 2005 & Universal Religion.
In addition to their killer productions, Filo & Peri continue to bring the party to dancefloors around the world through their energy packed DJ sets. With so many accomplishments in under three years, the limits are endless. We just hope you're wearing your dancing shoes.

SATURDAY APRIL 19TH
GLOBAL UNDERGROUND presents
SHARAM JEY (GERMANY)
House / Electronica
DJ, producer, label maker - Sharam Jey from Cologne, Germany, is a real all-lrounder. As a true lover of music and artist he uses any chance he gets to bring his music closer to clubbers all around the world.
As a DJ he soon learned which tracks are guaranteed to really set the dance floor on fire. This knowledge resulted in the first remixes and other own productions in the mid-90's which were very well received by both clubbers and critics. After his remix of Cafè Del Mar's "Energy 52" was voted "Best Dance Track Of All Time" (Mixmag), Sharam went on to remix the likes of Moby, Mylo, Faith No More, Faithless, Salt N Pepa, Warren G, and loads more.
Releases on well-known labels like these are an honour in themselves but Sharam didn't stop there. In early 2001 he decided to create his own platform for his music - King Kong Records. His motto is: No compromises! With his own label, Sharam Jey can finally realize all his ideas and dreams - from sound to art work right thru to packaging. The label is now well established and successful.
After all those releases in years, finally his debut artist album "4 Da Loverz" was released worldwide on Underwater Records in 2005. It achieved amazing reviews and even got him on the cover of the famous DJ Magazine. That same year a successful compilation "Episode 04" with Darren Emerson, head of Underwater Records, was published.

SATURDAY APRIL 26TH
TRANSMISSION with SEAN TYAS (NYC)
Progressive / Trance
Sean Tyas, a New York native, now residing in Switzerland, brings to the dancefloor a mix of melodic harmony and driving groove that is sure to be just as effective on the legs as it is on the heart.
Moving to Europe proved to be a great move for Sean, doing all production for DJ Beam in Germany and building his experience as a studio producer. Eventually Sean decided to step away, concentrated much more on his own productions and remixes. "Mirella" was the product of this exodus, as it was promptly signed to Afterglow Recordings, seeing John Askew and Dave Joy remixes. This led to a follow-up remix of Duderstadt - Muhanjala, which has seen almost every playlist of any trance DJ this year, including Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk.
Sean's remix of Beam - "On your Mind" proved to be another HUGE club smash. Caned CONSTANTLY by the likes of Paul van Dyk, John O'Callaghan, & Armin van Buuren, this remix essentially locked Sean in as one of 2006's more endeared talents in the genre. The hype on his first Discover single "Lift", was even more amplified by Sean's winning of the Sander van Doorn - Punk'd Remix Competition, beating out over 250 other remixes.
In 2007 he has 2 new originals already on the release schedule of 2 of the genre's foremost labels, One More Night Out (Armada) and Drop (Discover). In addition, he has already done a plethora of remixes for labels such as Anjuna, Yakuza, Vandit, Armada, & more.
