Not one to be pigeon holed into any particular genre, Danilo Plessow aka Motor City Drum Ensemble has caused quite a stir in the underground House music scene with his left field choices. The 12″ series, Raw Cuts, which has been played & supported by luminaries such as Gilles Peterson, Karizma, Jazzanova, Dixon, Laurent Garnier, DJ Hell, Steve Bug and even Basement Jaxx, displays a retrospective of House music, reminiscent of the ‘motor-city’ Detroit spirit with hints of Disco and Soul.
