M.I.K.E. PUSH (BELGIUM)
(Progressive / Trance)

Mike Dierickx, aka M.I.K.E. is the unquestionable living legend in dance music.

As a producer, his output across the broadest spectrum of trance over the past decade is unrivalled, both under his M.I.K.E. name and just as famously the Push and Plastic Boy alter ego’s, plus over 40 other aliases over the years.

As an innovator and leader of the scene, success for M.I.K.E. the DJ has followed a similar path to the top, entering the DJ Magazine Top 100 poll in 2003 at #50 and not looking back since.

A genre defying genius, M.I.K.E. fuses the best of trance with electro, progressive, techno and everything good in between to create inspirational, entertaining and cutting edge dance music that blurs boundaries and once again brings dance fans and DJs together on a global scale.

Over the years M.I.K.E. has produced timeless trance anthems such as ‘Universal Nation’, ‘Strange World’ and ‘The Legacy’ under his Push guise, while his Plastic Boy alter ego has spawned equally euphoric classics including ‘Silver Bath’ and ‘Live Another Life’. During this period M.I.K.E. has won numerous awards such as ‘Best Single’ and ‘Best Dance Producer’, entering the UK National Top 40 on 6 occasions, and has remixed tracks for artists as diverse as Sinead O’Connor, Mauro Picotto and Moby.

M.I.K.E. is a key artist for Armin’s Armada label collective as well as running his own Club Elite and Maximised imprints. Recent release highlights under his Push guise include the massive ‘Universal Voice’ EP with ‘Trance Indicator’ and ‘Voyager’ in particular getting massive playlist support, the equally huge follow-up ‘Dream Designer’, plus remixes for some of the biggest names in dance music, including Armin van Buuren ‘In And Out Of Love’ and Ferry Corsten ‘Made Of Love’.

M.I.K.E. has also simultaneously been making massive waves in the techno and progressive scenes with his latest side project M.I.K.E. presents Caromax ‘Logic’ flying high in the progressive sales charts, while his Atractiva guise has gained playlist support from the likes of Carl Cox and Dave Clarke, and his Deep Flextion alter ego producing ‘Emotions Of The Night’ which was signed by Gabriel & Dresden’s uber cool Organized Nature label and receiving support from Sasha and John Digweed.

With M.I.K.E. having been at the forefront of the trance revolution for over a decade, his DJ profile, gig schedule and fan base are naturally up there with the biggest names. M.I.K.E. has been busy delivering cutting-edge, roof-raising DJ sets on the biggest stages around the globe, such as the Godskitchen tour of Australia and New Zealand, major European festivals such as Dance Valley, A State Of Trance 350, Tomorrowland and Zurich Street Parade, plus famous club brands such as Gallery, Ministry Of Sound and Gatecrasher in the UK and Circus and 1015 in the USA.

Big projects lined up for 2009 include his Push remix of Ferry Corsten ‘Made Of Love’ hits the streets in February, followed closely by the new Push single ‘Interference’. On the albums front, March sees the release of the ‘Trance World Vol 6′ compilation mixed by M.I.K.E., with the eagerly anticipated new Push artist album due on Armada in May. With the big room Push trance sounds having a renaissance in club land, the famous Push Live experience is being showcased at selected major events in the months ahead, including Lush! in Northern Ireland and the Essence Festival in Holland.

DOUBLE TROUBLE presents SCOT PROJECT (GERMANY)
(Tech Trance: Techno / Hard Trance)

Scot Project is one of very few artists whose musical style is clearly recognizable throughout the dance music world. His signature and distinctive sound has helped create the harder side of the Trance genre, and is now on the forefront of the Tech-Trance movement.

Widely referred to as the founding father of Hard Trance, his unique combination of percussive elements mixed with melodic trance rhythms has made him one of the most successful DJs/Producers in the world.

With regular performances at legendary clubs and festivals all over the planet such as Trance Energy, Sensation, Planet Love, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Slinky, Dance Valley, Mystery Land, Defqon, Global Gathering, Homelands, Coach, Avalon, Airport, Space, Judgment Sunday, Zurich Street Parade, The Guvernent, and too many more to list, Scot Project continues a consistent delivery of his very unique sound at the world’s most highly coveted venues.

How it all began…

Learning to mix at the tender age of 13, Frank Zenker aka ‘Scot Project’ got his first break in 1986 playing break-beat in a youth club. When the acid house movement hit in 1988 Scot Project was hooked. By 1990 he was a resident of several clubs in and around Frankfurt and was spending his paychecks on a small but potent studio.

His first track «X» was released on Overdose in 1994, shortly after followed closely by the hugely successful «U - I Got a Feeling», on Overdose / Positiva which charted throughout Europe. Since then, Scot Project has established himself as one of the biggest producers of Tech-Trance music, with a plethora of remixes and hit productions including mega hits: «Y - How deep is your love», «F - Future in now», «O - Overdrive», «R - Rock», and And remixes such as «Second Trip / Hennes & Cold», «Fire Wire / Cosmic Gate» and «Ding-A-Ling / Yoji Biomehanika», all of which stormed UK and international dance charts. Under his other production name: Arome, we have seen such successful releases as «Visions of Paradise», «Hands Up», and more.

Despite his non-stop tour schedule, Scot always found time to twiddle plenty of knobs in the studio. His melodic dance floor ripper «L - Want Your Love » booted Eric Prydz’s number one tune «Call on me» off the top spot of Discomania’s 2004 yearly sales chart. The tune also ousted Mylo’s «Drop The Pressure» and Deep Dish’s «Flashdance» from the top of the German-based chart, with both Judge Jules and Fergie nearly wearing out their copies on their BBC Radio 1 shows.

In 2007 we caught a glimpse of another side of Scot Project when he delivered a plethora of his special “For promotion only remixes”. The dreadlocked wonder dove head first into remixing some of the worlds biggest dance music hits, which exposed him to a whole new collection of fans. He also released TOCS “2″ on Druck Records in the later part of 2007 to follow up his massive Hit TOCS “1″. Before its release it was already receiving the support of today’s biggest dance music’s names. Within the first week of release, it rocketed up the charts in many of the legal online MP3 download portals into the top 5 most downloaded tracks.

After fifteen years of top-notch studio production and crowd-pleasing DJ sets, it’s no wonder why Scot Project is one of the world’s most loved and respected Dance artists, and is regarded as a legend in the world of electronic dance music.
