Flava with Andrew Chow

6 years on and Friday nights at Phuture are still THE place to be for Flava, the night with Andrew Chow, pioneer of the urban beats way before they became the sound du jour, with his inimitable style of funk, hip-hop and R& B. Feel the energy, taste the Flava!

Fridays at Velvet Underground with Jeremy Boon

Be it Jazz, Afro Beat, Soul or Latin inspired tunes, Jeremy has an innate ability to mix it all up to create one sweet sounding excursion you wish would never end. Recognition of his tastemaker status has been solidified with regular features on Japan’s J-Wave 81.3FM and even a spot on the revered Worldwide Show on BBC Radio One to showcase his selection of genre-defying electronic tunes. One of Gilles Peterson’s favourite DJs, Jeremy can now add a mix CD on Defected Records, UK’s number 1 Dance Independent to his belt, with the release of his mix on Zouk In The House.

Shouting out to all hip hop fans! It’s Saturday night grind time with Andrew Chow, DJ battle alumnus and regular on the San Francisco club circuit to dish out the best in hip hop, soul and R&B, from classics to the latest chart toppers, Holla!

Add a dose of versatility with a dollop of talent, mix well with an innate ability to drop the funkiest tracks at the most opportune time and you have the essence of what DJ Hong’s about, his thriving weekly Saturday at Velvet Underground’s stands testament. Chosen by STB & NAC to represent Singapore’s best in Russia for Spotlight Singapore 2008, it is his sets at Zouk’s ReadySet Glo parties alongside artists like Tiga, A-Trak, Simian Mobile Disco, Crookers, Boys Noize and Shinichi Osawa that has really got clubbers talking and jumping.

Open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Eve of Public Holidays, 9pm to 3am
