Hideout’s focus is on delivering music that is rarely heard elsewhere in Singapore, in one of the most atmospheric bars in the city. They’re hidden away on the top floor of a shop house in the Boat Quay conservation area, sandwiched between karaoke bars. The decor evokes the opium dens and clubs of old, but is combined with paintings by local artists to give a truly Singaporean experience that often surprises people when they first visit the bar.
